Spa day!

Everybody has a spa today, including the bikes and our clothes.

We start the day with our first hearty breakfast since leaving Melbourne. With a small cooktop and microwave in our apartment we can put together a typical “JoyMck” breakfast and eat it while listening to Raf on ABC radio (it feels a bit wrong to be listening to Raf’s Drive program in the morning).

We take the bikes and our clothes to the convenient car wash/laundromat/parcel locker area – self service everything! There’s even a pizza vending machine!

We take ourselves to the Celto spa for an hour of soaking, bubbling and water-pummelling. It is so very good to feel those muscles loosen!

And then, taking full advantage of our barely equipped kitchenette, Neil puts together a pasta meal, accompanied by a fine Chateuneuf du pape.
